Joe Diamond is one of the hottest up and coming surfers in San Diego. Joe has been with Kaenon since he was a grom and has been showing some serious potential for the big leagues. See a few shots from a recent session he had near his hometown.

Joe Diamond won the CSF event recently held at Huntington Beach. The contest kicked off a six event series at 9th Street in Huntington Beach last weekend in great overhead conditions. Aside from surfing, the event featured additional fun activities making for a great set up and friendly environment for families to spend their weekend. Joe worked his way to the finals and after a 25 minute final round, he found himself with the better of the waves putting him on top for the win. Congratulations Joe!

Team Riders Joe Diamond and Porter Hogan represented team Laguna in the Surf As One surf contest held at Mission Beach, San Diego.

The event was held to raise money for the Life Rolls On Foundation. This program helps people with spinal cord injuries by giving them a positive outlook on life. The event allowed the guys to participate with Life Rolls On and help Patrick, a man with spinal injuries, surf once again. Patrick has no use in his legs and little movement in his arms. The experience was an unforgettable one. Team Laguna went up against a dozen different teams in head high and perfect waves. The conditions were tricky and due to the wave height the current was almost impossible to beat. Joe and Porter watched minute after minute with their black Burny sunglasses.

“Joe and I found a spot to paddle out right through the rip current and into the line up about thirty yards down the beach,” Porter said.

After a solid twenty minute final, the team found them selves on the top of the podium taking home the win. Porter wears Burny Black G12, Joe wears Arlo Matte black G12.

At the first stop of Arnette’s All Day Surf Series the waves were small but the groms still charged. In the end, it was Kaenon’s Joe Diamond coming out on top for the win. Nothing like seeing a Kaenon sponsored athlete WIN an event sponsored by another sunglass company!

Speaking of, Joe also just won another accolade–at a recent Volcom Blowfish Series event in Cardiff, California, he took home the Electric Volt Thrower “Move of the Day and $50 in cash for his frontside reverse in the Juniors Final.
