Morrison & Gregg Skate to Silver

Wearing Kore G12, Denny Morrison added another medal to his collection at the Moscow World Cup, taking second in the men’s 1000m with a time of 1:09.57. Combined with his 1500m silver medal from earlier in the competition, things are looking up this season for the Canadian.

Bart Schouten said of Morrison:
“We have a really good race plan for him, and it really seems to work. He’s getting better technically and stronger every week; he’s really on the right track – the coaches are very pleased with his progress. He’s working very cleverly – he brings a lot of good analytical qualities as a skater.”

And let’s not forget Jamie Gregg, who also grabbed a silver medal in the 500m, his first of the 2010-2011 World Cup season. Gregg, wearing Hard Kore G12 crossed the finish line with a time of 35.23, only .08 seconds behind first place finisher, Pekka Koskela.

“I’m happy that I was able to keep my focus and do the best that I can. I ended up with a pretty fast time.”
