Kaenon Paddlers Win at Island 2 Island in CA
This past weekend marked the reestablishment of the Island 2 Island race, a 30-mile paddling race from Santa Barbara Island to Catalina Island off the coast of California. The race included all types of paddling, outrigger, stand up, and prone division paddling. Kaenon paddling team members Jackson English and George Loren won the prone division by a large margin. They also finished 3rd overall behind an OC1 (outrigger) and a standup paddle team.
The last running of the Island 2 Island Race occurred six years ago. Due to the overwhelming outcry for this event, thanks to the rise of paddling sports, revived the race and brought out strong competitors from all divisions.
Both George and Jackson wore Hard Kore Titanium G12 during the race.

A ceremony, including a fire dance, closed out the exciting day of competition.
